What is Fraxel Re: Store Dual
Fraxel re:store dual is advanced technology made for the treatment of photodamaged skin, wrinkles, acne scars, surgical scars, melasma and Actinic Keratosis
Unlike other laser treatments, fraxel re:store is able to precisely treat thousands of microscopic areas of skin, using pinpint laser beams that penetrate beneath the skin surface. This allows for effective treatment with minimal down time and less risks..
This dual wavelength laser comprises of 1550 nanometers (nm) and 1927nm, each suited to the treatment of different skin conditions. The 1550nm wavelength is a deep penetrating laser wavelength, ideal for the treatment of deeper problems such as acne scarring or other types of skin scarring.
The 1927nm wavelength address the more superficial problems of the skin such as superficial pigmenation, wrinkles, and sun damage.
What are the Benefits of the Fraxel Treatment
- Smoother, fresher looking skin
- Improved tone and texture
- Improved appearance of acne scarring and surgical scars
Treatment Plan
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied for about 1 hour prior to treatment, and this sufficiently numbs the skin to make the Fraxel treatment comfortable.
The Fraxel laser treatments are always performed with a Zimmer cooler. This machine blows cold air over the treated areas during treatment, reducing discomfort from the procedure, and reducing unnecessary heat energy build up in the skin.
The Fraxel laser treatment is safe and effective on delicate skin areas like the neck, chest, hands and face
Progressive results occur over the next three to six months as deeper layers of skin continue to heal.
What to Expect After the Treatment
After treatment, the skin will look red and swollen. You will experience a heat sensation that can last for 2-3 hours and sometimes pinpoint bleeding. Redness and swelling usually persists for a few days, but in more aggressive treatments, can persist for longer. There can also be some mild peeling and a bronzing effect on the skin post treatment that lasts about a week.
